Operations Engineer at FMTIS Command Support Unit (LSE)

The FMTIS Command Support Unit (LSE) Implementation Department in Stockholm supports the Headquarters and the Armed Forces' addresses in Stockholm regarding the operation and maintenance of command and operational systems at all levels of readiness, both nationally and internationally.

Main Responsibilities

As an Operations Engineer, you will be part of our user support group, which primarily focuses on providing technical support for IT systems and mobile devices to users. You will work with orders, troubleshooting, support, and advice, both on-site and remotely. The role also includes training users. Other technical broad tasks may arise.

The work is varied and primarily carried out in the Armed Forces' premises and facilities in Stockholm. Travel may occur both nationally and internationally.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Upper secondary education with relevant orientation or equivalent knowledge assessed as comparable by the employer.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Knowledge of IT/customer support and mobile devices.
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
  • Driving license B.

MERITORIOUS

  • Experience with signal protection within the Armed Forces
  • Experience working within the Armed Forces.
  • Military service / GSU or equivalent.
  • Employment within the public sector.
  • Experience of government work.

Other

The position is a permanent employment, with a 6-month probationary period applicable for those who are currently not employed within the Armed Forces. The position is civilian with immediate start or as agreed. Location: Östermalm/Gärdet in Stockholm.
